is it ok to take a 1.5 mm feed from a 5 amp spur use a double pole switch then straight to light fitting cheers guys

Hi , seems OK, infact could use 1mm2 if easier to conceal in conservatory.

thanks sparx part p does now state all fixed lighting should be 1.5 (elecs guide to build regs green book)

COBBLERS!, electricians 'GUIDE' to bldg regs. not requirement! 1mm2 rated at 11A on 5A fuse fine, IET make the regs. for wiring, everyone else puts their own ideas forward.
Have you tried buying 1.5 3core/E?, why do they make 1mm2 twin brown switch drop cable?
It's up to the qualified sparkie's sums to ensure no excessive volt drop,etc. Be ready to 'fight your corner' against the growing army of 'experts' who don't have a clue about the subject!

thanks again sparxs understand your anger but just passed my part p level a 5 weeks ago so dont want to upset building control
