Loft Socket and Feed From Ground Floor Ring Okay?

We are renovating a house and would like to put a double socket in the loft
The easiest way for me to get a cable there is through the kitchen loft and into an upstairs cupboard and then up into the loft.
The upstairs ring would involve wall chasing and removing floorboards and notching joists.
A fused spur will be fine for what will be used in the loft.
Is it allowable to take a spur from a ground floor ring into the loft ? Of course the fuesbox would be marked to show ground floor ring + loft ?
