Bathroom Extractor Fan Replacement Advice

Hi folks,
I’ve got a bathroom extractor fan that’s just packed in and I’m looking to replace it (it’s a Vortice Quadro Micro 100 about 7 years old). It doesn’t have a timer and just takes two core (currently supplies by two core and earth). It’s wired in like this:
Isolator switch —> Pull cord —> Fan
The cables go up into the loft before coming back down into the room. The fan extracts into a tube before going out. The loft has no loft ladder and it’s not boarded out.
I’ve got two issues here - I want to replace the fan, but would like to move up to a fan that is timed or triggers with movement. But at the same time I don’t want to do too much rework and that includes the position of where the 100mm extractor hole is, especially in relation to the power cable which would involve going into the loft to move.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
