Ceiling Rose Loop Wiring Advice for new Fitting

Hoping someone can help, I have seen other posts similar to this but not quite the same.

I have tried to change the lights on a ceiling rose loop however forgot to take a picture before taking the wiring out and now can’t get it back.

There are 3 lights in the room all controlled by 1 switch.

I have three cables in the ceiling.

Cable A:
Black
Grey
Brown
Earth

Cable B:
Brown
Blue
Earth

Cable C:
Blue sheathed in brown
Brown
Earth

I have my switch live and live from the light going into line. The brown wire from cable A,B and C going into the loop. And the blue wires going, black and grey going into neutral.

When doing this only light 1 comes on or if I put the black wire in with the switch live all 3 lights come on but can’t be switched off.

Can anyone help?

There is no colour code, I was thrown off this forum in the past for trying to help work out wiring without use of a meter, so I don't want to do that again, I realise with the virus it is hard to find an electrician, so hope we can help, but need to first work out how you can test.

So cable A not a clue why three colours.

Cable C seems likely the cable to switch.

So maybe you can find other end of cable A in another ceiling rose, and this may help, I can guess the three cables are permanent line, switched line, and neutral, but not a clue which colour is which, best chance is finding other end in another ceiling rose, then you can copy like for like.
