Hi

I’m thinking of replacing my gas hob with an induction hob. Current oven is plugged into the mains on its own circuit. There is also another plug on the circuit for the lighter on the gas hob. The current circuit details are 6mm live 4mm cpc rating 32a short capacity 6ka. Just need to know if the current circuit will cope with an electric oven and induction hob. If not I’ll replace with a gas hob. Thanks in advance.

Hi harryhog,
You would need to have details of the rating of both your oven and hob and then contact an electrician to check the suitability of your current supply installation.

I have a cooker with 4 area induction hobs, and a double oven rated around 70 amp, but works fine with a 32 amp supply, and 32 amp is the supply recommended.
