Recently posted this problem, recieved negative answer as it relates to two way switching which is covered in the forum, my problem is the links don't work to the topics I need. Perhaps someone could take pity and give me an answer.............
Changing ceiling light fitting in bathroom..........
Wires coming from rose..... 2 x black 2 x yellow and earth.
There is a pull switch with.... 1 x red ... 1 x yellow ... 1 x earth.
There is also an extractor fan on a timer.
Seems a lot going on with just the two sets of wires from rose.
The new light fitting has got 2 x brown......... 2x blue and earths
before I get in the professionals can anyone tell me were the 2 yellow and 2 blacks connect to the live and negative connections to the new light.
Thank's'
Jamie.

JAMIE
I HAVE RECENTLY COME ACROSS THIS IM MY AREA WHERE I LIVE.
THE HOUSE I GAVE A QUOTE 4 WAS BUILT IN 1959 ( MY FATHER
WAS A PLUMBER GAS FITTER AND WORKED ON THESE HOUSES
THEY USED SINGLE REDS ENCAPSULATED IN YELLOW COVERING.
THIS WAS USED EXTENSIVELY ANYWAY BY LOCAL AUTHORITY YEARS AGO. THIS HOUSE HAD NOT BEEN REWIRED .MY GUESS IS THAT THIS WIRING IS DATED AND TO BE ACCURATE ON THIS I SUGGEST A PERIODIC INSPECTION , IF THIS IS IS YOUR
PROPERTY.
IF YOUR PROPERTY IS RENTED YOUT LANDLORD SHOULD BE INFORMED.
