Hi there,
I would like to fit a outside socket to a outside wall of my house.
Inside this wall is a existing socket. Could I take a spur of that, and do I need a special outside socket?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi, outside sockets are special waterproof type sold everywhere such as Big & Qwiks ect. however it is a reportable 'Part P' bldg regs job so not economic to DIY as cost of fees to bldg control more than getting registered leckie to do for you, regards

Hi FD, waterproof socket from £15 - £45 depending on make & type, cheaper ones only WP when not in use , dearer ones close over plug & WP all times, To fit, time = money! if as you say 'back-to-back' then to wire/fit test circuit, write certs. register with bldg control say 2 hours @
£25/30 / hr plus registration costs, whole job ain't gonna be much under a £100, sounds a lot but thats what we would have to charge to stay in business,
