Hi

I have rewired my new kitchen. I labeled each cable run at the light switch's. lighting outlets etc and attached corresponding labels where the cables re-appeared at the consumer unit etc. to identify each cable. Unfortunately my young son thought it would be a good joke to remove them. How do I re-identify each cable run over distances of up to 8 metres? Can anyone help?

Quite a good job this has happened Bob as you are legally bound to get a part P qualified electrician to install this wiring in your kitchen. Getting one in now may allow them to issue a certificate for the installation as they must complete it. The kitchen is classed as a special area as is the consumer unit and work needs to be done by a Part P installer.
