Hi my house was built in the 1950s and over the years has had extra sockets added, which are serface mounted with the wiring cliped to the skerting board. What i want to do is replace the sockets with flush ones, and let the wiring in the wall and then plaster over it. The CU has been renewed with a modern rcd one if i do this work myself will i need it checked in regard to part `P`. We have just brought this house after having modern houses before and are looking forward to doing different jobs so i shell be asking other questions no dought.

Hi, unless in 'special location' ie kitchen or bathroom[unlikely] then you can diy this work as not adding to circuit. no need to report or get it certified.
take care, leckie takes no prisoners!!!
