Light fitting - won't switch off

I bought a new light fitting for my kitchen a simple 3 spot light. thought it would be easy to fit and it seemed to be.

i have wired everything correctly 3 red wires to 3 brown (light fitting wires) 2 black to 3 blue (light fiting wires) then BUT I have a nother black wire with a red sleeve on which I hav now realised to be the switch wire.

I have the lights working but it won't switch off. I took the switch wire out and wired it seperately - into plastic wiring boxe - but still no joy.

HELP driving me mad.

See the projects section and you will find electrical projects to cover this in full.

Three red wires need putting in a connector together and do not connect to your new light in any way. Three brown from your new light all connect together and go to switch wire the black with red sleeve and the three blues and three blacks all connect together. I would hope you also have earth wires which all connect together. There is a project section and also this same question has been asked many times before if you look at other peoples posts.

WARNING
DO NOT JOIN THE THREE BLACKS TO THE BLUES
I think that was a typo
TWO blacks will join to the three blues
