Please could someone tell me what's the correct way to move a bathroom light? Not so much moving the fitting but more like how do I extend the cables to the new position when there are 2 other lights coming off the old fitting also.Cheers, Geordie.

A professional would use a junction box 4 way but moving lamps causes more posts than any other task when people get it wrong. Using ceiling rose as a junction box and changing cord for one that reaches new location then fitting second ceiling rose is less likely to cause problems. Main thing note the position of all black and blue wires there the ones that cause the problems.
Second you say bathroom, The rules for bathrooms and the Part P regulations mean unless your north of the boarder it is regulated by building regulations under Part P look for projects, building regulations, part p and you will find a link. Second also with bathrooms there are zones where you have different regulations as to what can and can't be fitted. By time you have gone through building controls etc you may find it cheaper to employ a Part P registered electrician. If you are north of the boarder look at the projects first pictures speak a 1000 words.
