cooker cable

Hi
i need to run a new cable for my cooker in a stud wall but not sure what size is it 6mm or 10mm.

10mm² can supply approx 43 amp (10Kw) and 6mm² approx 32 amp (7.5Kw) you will have to check on cooker as to it’s ratting. There are routing and cable types that can decrease or increase these values anyone who can sign the paperwork involved with Part P should also advise on exact figures. hi Mark, if you are Part-p registered then you should be able to calc. this from current rating of cooker allowing for diversity, length of run, type of over current protective device fitted etc. if not then you should not be doing DIY install at all as new circuits 7/or any work in a kitchen is a 'controlled service' under bldg regs.
