all of a sudden the main bedroom small front bedroom and landing lights wont come on but the back bedroom and bathroom do there is obviously a break in the circuit but where do i look for this and how

There is a good diagram in projects on how ceiling roses are wired. Fault most likely last working or first not working and a lose wire. Of course switch off mains first remember there is a line supply to all ceiling roses even when switched off.

i have checked roses and switches and there are no loose wires could there be wires running along the loft which may have been knocked out or are there no joins up there
