Fence on a retaining wall

Hi all

I am after some advise regarding a fence that appeared to sit on a retaining wall.
The fence was starting to wobble a little so I thought I would take a look and see what needed to be done.
From what I can see, there is a wooden spur concreted near the base of the wall and the spur is then screwed to the six foot fence post that sits on top of the wall.
The spur has broken and the fence is just resting on the break.
Has this been installed correctly? I would have thought a six foot fence would need more support than just a wooden spur, especially as the spur only overlaps the fence post by around one foot.

Many thank

Hi stansfanclub,
What you describe would appear to be inadequate support for 6 ft panels, suggest you fit concrete spurs next to the wood ones.
