fibreglass flat roofing in cold weather

I need to fit a fibreglass flat roof this week and am worried about the temperature and whether the the resin & top coat will set. The forecast says 6 degrees and dry...

Would it help if I built a frame and canopy & side covers above the roof and directed one of those gas space heaters into the gap ?

thanks

Hi,

You've probably done this job now, but for anyone who lands on this topic looking for the same info - Fibreglass roofing must be laid in dry weather onto a dry deck at a temperature no lower than 5°C.

Also remember that GRP is very prone to cracking - about 1/3rd of our works are replacing failed GRP roofs.

We use a fleece backed EPDM rubber which is a much better, longer lasting product.

I'd recommend it over GRP every time.
