Flat roof parapet wall and cladding.

I have an old steel-framed building with a flat roof and a small parapet wall. The first floor was clad with terracotta tiles with a ply fascia board on the top and bottom of the cladding.
I have removed the old tiles and plyboard and replaced the tiles with a cement fibre board cladding which now covers the areas that also had ply covering.
The flat roof is felt which goes up a small parapet wall and just over the edge, which was attached to the old ply fascia boards.
My builder wants to cap the wall with some metal that will travel down to the cladding. I am not sure that nailing on top of a wooden parapet wall is such a good idea. I was thinking more of a product that will bridge the gap between the last cladding board and go under the overlapping felt but cannot find anything that would be suitable.
Could someone here suggest a way forward?
