I have a leak in my garage roof. It’s covered with standard felt. I can’t really get it replaced at the moment so have been looking at roof sealant paints. I’ve seen Roofix and Cromapol come up a lot during my research. Has anyone had experience of either of these products, pros and cons? Is there another one I should look at? Any advice would be appreciated.

Since it’s a felt roof it’s likely that there are splits in the felt. Look for a roof repair mastic which has fibres in it, these will reinforce the splits.

Could you recommend any? I’ve been looking into Roofix and Cromopol, is that the kind of thing you mean?

Yes but make sure you are using a solvent based one. Don’t forget to apply glass fibre scrim over any splits more than 3mm.
