Replacing old floors

I have old style floors upstairs i beleive its called sheet rock flooring i am looking to replace with proper floor boards any tips on to go about it properly and what is the best wood to use

AFAIK Sheetrock is a US brand of plasterboard. Are you sure that's what you have on your floors?

YOU HAVE "WEYROC" FLOORING.

YOU COULD JUST OVERLAY WITH BOARDS OF YOUR CHOICE OR LAMINATE.

IF YOU GO WITH YOUR ORIGINAL PROPOSAL, ENSURE YOU AQUIRE GOOD QUALITY T&G FLOOR BOARDS (NOT BOWED, TWISTED OR CUPPED) FOR BEST FINISH WHEN LAID.
