how to get a level floor?

by kuztardd » Sun Apr 29, 2007 8:54 pm

We are just about to pull up our Lounge carpet and get ready to lay laminate wooden flooring withini the next week. I have a feeling that there will be a few slightly uneven bits on the concrete below, nothing too major.

I was contemplating just leaving as is and laying a bit of extra underlay (or heck even newsaper) on the bits that needed rasing up a bit.

But then thought maybe i should do it proper.

Any suggestions for some auto leveling stuff?
Any ideas guys

In our other room we used timbermate excel (for its supposed best soundproofing qualities) for the underlay, and have loads left over for this room as well.
the main area of problems is the edges of the room as the seem to lip up a bit (hence thinking about levelling off the whole room.

Thanks in advance

See the following link to get the floor level. There is no point taking chances.

Thanks for the link

We have a similar problem, the concrete floor in the conservatory is quite un-even. How easy is this stuff to use?
