Laminate Flooring

Is there any need to lay newspaper between the floorboards and the 2mm foam underlay before laying the laminate tiles on top? I am thinking back to rubber underlay sticking to floorboards when laying a carpet

you dont need the newspaper but the 2mm foam has its use's
it acts as a suppressor as the laminate "floats" above the sub floor think jam in the sandwich!!! also it helps with sliding the laminate in place when fitting.
Hope this helps :)
