Please Help

I have a stone property that was built in the 1930's I am having major problems with damp and have had a builder come to my home and advise me of what to do. I wanted to have a suspended floor but my builder has advised that i keep to concrete is this correct???

Thanks

cazzer,
I guess it depends on how the house was originally built. If you can find evidence of air bricks below floor level, around the outside of the house, then I would suggest returning to a suspended floor would be a good move. Otherwise stick with the advice given.

Hi
There is only one air brick outside on the property and it is much lower than the floor inside?????

cazzer,
Air brick should be lower than the floor, see if there are any more at this level which have been removed, you can then make your choice.
