Hi,
I plan to nail a 18mm solid oak flooring in my lounge onto existing floorboards. There is an extention at the end of the lounge which has a floor level that is 6mm higher than the original lounge. Obviously i would like the floor to flow between the two so my question is...
Is it best to use 6mm ply in the original lounge or is there a type of underlay which can be used?? (I want to nail the floor down not float it). Could fibreboard be used??
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
