Getting qoutes for extension

Hi Guys
I hope you can help me.
I'm in the process of getting quotes for a 66m2 2storey extension on my 1983 house.
Our current floor under the laminate is concrete. Our extension will mean there is a room across the back of the house that will be 1/2 orginal and 1/2 new build.
We have had 10 quotes and we've managed to get our selection of builders down to 2.
1 builders quote (£2k cheaper) references beam and weyroc flooring the other mentions a concrete floor through out.
I have been told the joists + weyroc is so much easier to get absolutely level compared to concrete however will it not make a hollow sound when I walk over it? and will there not be an apparent join between the concrete and joists? I may ask for concrete floors but will this cost extra?
I'm a bit confused.
Can anyone give any advice?
Thanks
