Gap between floorboards and backdoor

by kittyg80 » Fri Apr 01, 2011 10:22 pm

When I bought my flat, I removed a wooden strip that was nailed at an angle between my backdoor and my floor. It turns out that the floor boards are about an inch too short and don't meet the back door. There's a draft coming in through this gap.
I'd like to fix the problem rather then hide it with a badly positioned strip of wood!
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Kitty

kittyg80,
Fit a wider piece of hardwood ontop of the floorboards to cover the gap, thereby forming a threshold.
end
