How to thin/shave marble?

Hi, We want to put laminate flooring over our old marble floor but have hit a problem at our Security door, there is not enough space under the door so that it will not open fully.
The company who installed the door can raise it .3mm but this may not be enough.
Is there a way to thin or shave down the area in front of the door.
