Hello I hope someone experienced can give me a bit of advice.

I am going to lay laminate floor in a room with wooden floorboards, there is a bay window at one end of the room and the floor boards run lengh tways to and form the bay window. I have read quite a bit on the subject on various sites and there are many conflicting opinions as to in which direction the Laminate should be laid. I think it would be easier to cut the ends of the length if the laminate was running towards/away from the bay window, but that would mean the joints are running in the same direction as the floorboards.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thank YOU

it does not matter which way its laid it will expand and contract anyway, so long as the floorboards are securely fixed.
