My dining room has both concrete and floorboards, the concrete is higher than the floorboards and im not sure how to make the floor level. Im looking at laminating the dining room so its essential the floors are level. Please help.

Hi,

Buy or hire a percussion drill designed to accept Sds chisel bits (you could of course use a club hammer and bolster but that's hard work). Remove enough concrete so the new level is a couple of mm below your wooden floor. Mix and apply floor leveling compound to the exact hight of your wooden floor. This should provide a perfectly smooth level surface.

ps remember to feather out the edges befor it sets.

Hope this helps.
