Wooden floor over electric mat heating

I am having a 18 sq meter extension built and the floor will have electric mat heating totalling 2kW.
My neighbour used the same builder and they layed a thin laminate floor over the mat. I want to lay a wooden floor over the mat but want to know if its increased thickness will greatly reduce the effectiveness of the heating?

You should not lose any heat using wooden floors, but we recommend no thicker than 22mm wood should be used. The heating mats need setting to maximum floor temperature of 28 C. If the floor is a concrete base you should used a insulation material first.

Thanks. I checked out UR URL. Can you advise if parquet flooring or strip planking (not the thin laminate) can be fixed without using nails which obviously cannot be used with underfloor heating?
