Kitchen Floor Nightmare After Lifting Tiles to Repair Long Standing Leak

Due to damp we had to have part of the kitchen floor lifted to repair a long standing leak. So now we have a strip (2xtile width) down the kitchen that is new cement and wood (to cover pipe work)- what would you do???
There aren't enough tiles to relay and the surface is uneven, should I concrete the gap and use a self leveller to prepare for vinyl. Or remove the remaining tiles and start again? It's a nightmare as we have a puppy and this is our only exit to the garden.

Thanks in advance!

remove the rest of the tiles, and then lay a self level compound over the entire floor, this will give you a clean level floor to re tile
