Restoration of Floorboards by Sanding Down and OIling

by yartin » Fri May 12, 2017 9:09 pm

I wanted to sand down and oil floor boards in one my rooms. It had laminate layer glued to the hardboard of 4mm total thickness. It was easy to remove but the floor boards have glue/adhesive on them. I can see nails of the hardboard to the floorboard but no idea why glue on the floor boards. How do I get rid of the glue? I tried hot water with sponge and cloth, tried paint thinner and the same no luck, also tried chisel and still same, any advise?
Thanks
