Advice on Prepping Concrete Sub Floor for Laminate
Posted: Fri Apr 19, 2019 7:32 pm
Hi,
I have a concrete subfloor which is mostly tiled with old linoleum and so is fairly flat, with the exception of an eight foot by three foot section where the tiles are missing (there used to be a faux chimney and fireplace here).
The old tiles are quite thin, about 3mm. Am I safe to just lay the new floor (including a 3mm 'comfort silver' underlay and 12mm laminate) over the top or is this too uneven?
Ideally i'd like to get hold of some similar tiles to put down over the bare concrete but can't seem to find anything.
