Best Solid Laminate Flooring Underlay

Hi All,
First post and hoping for some advice.
I’ve got some laminate flooring to put down in the living room, currently it’s carpet with underlay ontop of the concrete floor. (Ground floor, 5 year old house)
Is there any recommendation what underlay to use for the laminate to help it sound as solid as possible? I know it won’t compare to solid wood flooring, but wondering if because it’s a concrete base should I go for 2mm or 5mm expanded foam, or cork with a damp proof membrane layer underneath?
Thanks,
M.R
