Gap between floor and wall after removing skirting

I am renovating one of my rooms. I have taken off the skirting board. Now I see that between floorboard and wall there is 1-2cm gap from which I can feel strong airflow. That airflow is I am guessing I from the wall ventilation outside the house.
My question is: Would be wise to fill these gaps with extending foam? From one point I assume that airflow is good there. But if the air humidity is high it could have a bad effect on the skirting board and plaster in the long-distance period. Photo attached

Hi dear_m0le
Yes fill with expanding foam before replastering. The only issue will be where it looks like the airbrick is where there is a large gap. This could be filled if filled gradually from the top but do block the air brick recess.
