Hello!

We've recently bought a house in which many things seem to have been done on the cheap, namely fitting the central heating system and extra phone socket in the bedroom.

We were hoping to sand down the wooden floors, which are mostly in great condition, but we are not sure what to do about the largish holes where the pipes from the radiator go down and the extension lead for the extra phone socket. These holes are quite large, about 2cm in diameter, and of course we don't want to wreck the pipes!

Please help!

Hi Storrar,
You can buy various designs of pipe roses that clip around the bottom of the radiator tail pipes and they are designed to cover over holes made for the pipes. Most DIY stores laminate flooring stores will sell them, even plumbers merchants.
Hope this of help.
