Hi,

I am wondering if anyone can assist and advise the best way to remove the remains of adhesive used to put together my brand new wooden floor!

The fitter who laid the floor left streaks of adhesive on the floor, unfortunately he has moved onto another job. I am left with the task of cleaning up.

I would appreciate any recommendations!

Sadly hammer and chisel is probably the best way unless they used a Silaine (Bona R850 or Utzin MK100 etc)
If you get to it before it fully cures (Within 24 hours normally) you may be able to remove it with solvent, nail polish remover is good if it is only a small area

Is the Flooring solid wood flooring or engineered wood flooring... Was it floated or was it glued to the subfloor?
