how to fit wooden threshold on front door after flooring???

Hi,
I've just had engineered glueless walnut flooring laid, but i still need to fix the wooden threshold at the front door. Can someone please tell me how i do this? do i need to lay some board first and glue the threshold to that? or do i glue it straight onto the underlay? or do i nail it on?
If i should use glue can anyone recommend the best glue to use? The glue i've used on the scotia quadrant is ok but in places the quadrant feels loose and is coming away.
thanks everyone.
