laying water pipes in floor screed

I am building a kitchen extension (self build) and I am bit stuck with the floor. I need to run water pipe somewhere through the 50mm of insulation board and 65mm of floor screed that will make up my floor. To complicate matters I am incorporating electric underfloor heating in the screed. All this will sit on top of the 100mm concrete slab that I laid whilst building the shell (DPM under slab).

Can I join water pipes under the floor?
What if the joints fail at a later date?
Am I better using copper (yorkshire or compression joints?) or plastic?
Do I need to run the pipe through conduit?
Do I run it through the insulation or the screed?
Does the screed need mesh reinforcement?
What mix should I use for the screed?
Can the screed butt the walls or should it have a strip of insulation?

Thanks
