Concrete floor advice for base and water pipes

by Georgeroo626 » Fri Apr 08, 2022 5:05 pm

Need to concrete a 5ft squared area between kitchen and hallway. Worried about the structural implications of doing this and whether I can use the natural soil as a base. Also what to do with water pipes in the way.

Hi georgeroo626,
If you are proposing replacing a section of suspended flooring, reinstate this and make sure it is ventilated. If you are going to lay concrete on mud make sure you lay 125mm thick concrete with reinforcing mesh.
