Foundations and foul drainage

Hi, I'm about to begin the foundation work on a small front extension which is to have a toilet in it. Can anyone tell me if I can route the toilet outlet pipe through the foundations? If so would I need any special arrangements ie ducting? The foundations will be at least 1m deep so would going underneath be too deep as it would have to meet up with the existing foul drain pipe?
Thanks for any advice.

Hi. Should be no trouble here..Dig your drains out prior to pouring your footings...Surround your pipe in pea gravel and put a lintel over the pipe where it passes through the footings. Always check with your Building Inspector if possible... Good luck...thedoctor3
Lintel query

Thanks so much for the reply, it has clarified things - sorry to bother you again but what would I use to support the lintel? Could I place a concrete slab under the pipe along the trench and build blocks either side of the pipe with the lintel on top or is it more technical than that.
Cheers

I'm presuming that you are putting in a concrete slab floor...Your 100mm soil pipe can run in a 200mm trench enclosed on all sdes with pea gravel. Lay your compacted hardcore on top, sand blind, DPM, then concrete.. As before, leave a gap in the footings for the pipe to pass through. If its just a 150mm gap then a reinforced lintel should,nt be needed, just concrete blocks. Hope this helps. (see our project section on footings & concrete floors,) thedoctor3
