Cutting out a builders opening

Can anyone tell me how big an opening I need to cut into my wall to have my new gas fire and surround fitted?

I have a chimney which is covered at the moment (the chimney has never been used, house is 10 years old) and have ordered a BE-Modern Mayfair class 1 and a 48" limestone fireplace. I want/need to do some of the prep work myself but can't get past step 1 because I don't know how big a hole to cut into the plasterboard.

Please help (any other tips for this project also gratefully received)

BEST TO WAIT FOR INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS TO ARRIVE WITH FIRE AND SURROUND.

ALSO USE A CORGIE INSTALLER TO INSTALL AND CONNECT APPLIANCE.
