As CPA1 will be made mandatory from 1st Feb 2010 many RGI will have to get there bucks out again every five years! Any RGI who have already done it please shed some light to my questions?

1. Whats covered in the CPA1 assessment?

2. During the assessments will the other checks need to be done eg. tightness test, operating and working pressures, gas rate, flue differeintial, water flow rate......?

3. During the assessment if the Boiler fails the analiser test, will a full service need to be done then checked again with the analiser?

hi
basically the CPA 1 test is a bit of a joke.

You have to test 3 types of appliance. OF, RS and Fluless. Give the answers and any comments. eg whatever the reading is, give you views to what needs to be done (condem, service or leave alone)

No servicing needs to be done or any other checks. Its all about the CPA. All they are doing is making sure you know how to use one and interpret the results.

My assesment lasted about 2 hours

hope this helps
