Problem with inset gas fire dimensions

I'm about to buy an inset gas fire but am having problems with the dimensions.
The fireplace has a recess of 45mm on the left and right sides (sorry don't have a url for the photo) meaning that the height of the inset can not be more than 560mm overall if it were to be set into this recess.
I have been having a problem finding a suitable gas fire to fit the height as those available are over 600mm high.
The inside of the fireplace is not a problem as the inset should fit snuggly so the only limitation is the height, I therefore need the inset gas fire to be 560h (max) x 610w (max).
If this is going to be a real problem what can I use to fill in the recessed area of 560h x 610w so the height of the gas fire will not be a problem.
Alternative suggestions for slim line but high efficiency gas fires are welcome.

john9159,
If the opening size is not big enough (which is what I think you are describing) the hole will have to be made bigger.
Being gas the installation should be carried out by a gassafe person - find one and ask their advice.
