The Air Vent in my lounge lets in loads of cold air, British Gas are doing my cavity wall insulation and have said that they will fit one that will prevent the air from coming in however this will cost £52, where can i buy one of these and what am i looking for and do they just replace the existing one and screw to the wall.

An air vent is just that - it lets air in, so I doubt BG have one which does not let air in and complies with venting requirements.
They may be offering to fit a vent at high level which supposedly counters the effect of cold draughts at low level.

You can get air vents with baffles, but you need to make sure it provides the correct airflow if purpose made for gas/solid fuel appliances.

Do you need the air vent for combustion purposes for the fire/boiler in the living room?
