Issue With 3 way Camper Fridge and Flame Failure Device
Posted: Wed Aug 23, 2017 9:04 am
I have an old Electrolux fridge which performs happily on 12v, 230v and gas BUT the flame failure device does not shut off the gas which is supplied to the burner all the time the control knob is off zero.
The thermocouple works as it should but the shut-off valve does not seal off. The valve is labelled DIN-DVGW and CPMM-18100 which, I suspect, are standards references.
The valve, opened by the control knob and held open by the electromagnetic thermocouple, comprises a simple disc sitting on a metal seat. It seems unlikely this would seal. Should there be an O ring involved.
Grateful for any answers.
