New Gas Connection priority

We have just bought a house and it doesnt have Gas connected to it. It requires quite a bit of rennovation which we have to complete over a period of time.

We have a limited budget and were going to spend what we have on renovating the kitchen, however, as the house does not have Gas and we would have to in future get gas connected and gas central heating installed, would it be wiser to get the gas done first, or can it be installed without any damage to the new kitchen at a later stage??

Thanks :)

When you get a new supply connected there will be a few options open to you but the most likely will be an outside meter box a connection from this to your gas supply within the house. This is generally a 22mm supply to the boiler If a 15mm supply was linked into this to run your cooker at a later date. No furter work would be required in the kitchen other corgi engineer testing commissioning the cooker etc.
