When I sat my last gas exams in 2004 - the lecturer had a Tracpipe demonstration, I think this type of piping had just become available on the market for gas pipework installations.

I was just wondering if anyone on here had used it ? or uses it on a regular basis.

What's it like - any problems ?

Looked superb on the demonstration - too good to be true, could have saved alot of time and hard work on some on my gas installations.

only down side to it is . . . . its expensive as hell!

id never heard of it till i re took my acs 2 years ago i dont think it gets used alot in stoke. wats it used for?

Tracpipe is used for gas pipework installations, it's a flexible pipe that can be joined using special fittings.

It's basically a large roll of the pipe they use for the aneconda on the gas meter, So it can be bent by hand, is flexible and just like running minibore - you can lift 2 floorboards at opposite ends of a room and run a long length of pipe rather than having to join and bend copper pipe.

can see it savin loads of time and yeh being really exspensive
