Hi there, i have a problem with a few of my windows, when i brought my house in sept i found out that a few of the keys were lost and i can't open 3 of my windows, what would be the most cost efficient way of dealing with this problem? I have been told that i could drill the locks, would that be ok.

you can get replacement handles for you windows all glazing companys have spare.
there are covers on the handles use a stanley knive to re move and then simply unscrew and refit new handle

Options include call a locksmith as these locks are easy to pick.Alternatively force the handle open so you can get at the fixing screws then buy a replacement.Depending on what type it is you may be able to buy new keys for it in a locksmiths.
