Cracked pane Double Glazing unit

by davidctid » Thu Oct 09, 2008 3:29 pm

I have a cracked pane in a UPVC double glazing unit in the bathroom. The size is 930mm by 520mm, patterned on one side and has a Georgian style pattern inside the unit. It does not open.

Has anyone got any suggestions what a reaonable price would be to repair as the quotes I have received vary widely?

Thanks

Hi
firstly i know you say its cracked but does the new one need to be toughend?(is any part of glass below 800mm from floor)( can the glass be touched whilst standing in the bath/shower) if the answer is yes to any of those then it needs to be toughend. For a none toughend unit £65
for toughend i would say between £80-£100 fitted would be what i would charge.
