Double glazing bead position

We had 2 new upvc windows fitted today & I have just noticed that the glazing beads are on the outside, whereas all our other upvc windows have their beads on the inside.

Our new windows are accessible from a flat roof so I feel uneasy that the glazing units could be removed from the outside. Also I wonder if it could negate our home contents insurance.

Before I make a fool of myself with the window company, does anyone know if there is a regulation which specifies that all beads must be internal?

Thanks in advance.

jemball,
Glazing beads can be internal or external. If they are external it's important that double sided security tape is used on the inside.

Thanks very much stoneyboy.

One thought, how can you then remove the beads in the future in order to replace any panels?

jemball,
The beads will be removable at any time but the DGU will be stuck to the frame. A sharp thin blade will have to be used from the inside to free the DGU.
