Can any one say what the largest STANDARD double glazed piece of glass that's available without going into specialist stuff. Will quite likely be argon filled.

Thanks

Chris.

The largest I have fitted is 3metres by 2.5metres toughened glass unit
If you want a big glass unit you have to have it either toughened or it will break under its own weight.
All doors with glass in have to be toughened and any glass below the height of 700mm has to be safe either toughened or laminated.

Hi, thanks for the info. We was planning for a large part of the rear of a property being glass with as few pillars/posts as possible, & 2 10'X8' DGU would be just right. Can you remember a rough weight of the large unit you fitted & would 5 guys with suckers manage it. Or is it down to something with a bit more beef.

Cheers.

Chris.

Cant remember the weight but it was over 100kg you will need straps as suckers tend to slip
